PerilIntel ("PerilIntel", "we", "us") provides advisory catastrophe-risk intelligence to insurance carriers, MGAs and brokers. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial law.
When you request a demo, contact us, or create an account, we collect your name, work email, company, role and any message you send.
When you use the service to assess a risk, we process the geographic coordinates of the location being assessed. We do not require the names of insured individuals; locations are handled on a coordinates-only basis wherever possible.
We collect standard log data (IP address, request times, API usage) to operate, secure and improve the service.
We process personal information with your consent and as necessary to provide a service you have requested, consistent with PIPEDA's reasonable-purposes standard.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform (e.g. cloud hosting and geocoding), under contract, and where required by law. Hazard data is drawn from public and licensed sources.
